Client servers, kept apart

Keep each client’s hosts and keys in a place of their own, work on them from any computer, and let the client watch the work live. When the contract ends, so does your access.

Teams is $35 a month for 5 people. Personal is $5 a month.

Sound familiar?

Client work leaves a trail

  • Credentials in chat threads

Passwords arrive by email and keys by chat, and months later nobody knows where they all ended up.

  • Access outlives the contract

The project ended in March. Your key is still on the client’s production server.

  • Clients want to see the work

A screen share lasts until the call drops, and nothing of it is left for the handover.

How GoTerm helps

Client work, without the loose ends

Every client in their own place, the work where they can see it, and nothing left behind when you’re done.

The Vault

Each client’s keys in one safe place

Keep each client’s hosts in a group of their own and their keys in your team’s Vault, sealed on the server. Your team connects with them without copying them to a laptop.

  • Limit a client’s group to the people on that project
  • Replace a client’s key once, and every host follows
  • On Business, give each client a team of its own
The Vault’s keys, each marked with the team it belongs to and the hosts that use it

Live sharing

Let the client watch it happen

Invite the client’s developer into the session, or send a view-only link. They watch the terminal live in their browser, and they can’t type unless you let them.

  • A link lets anyone who has it watch, never type
  • Links stop working after the time you choose
  • Session recording keeps the work for the handover
GoTerm’s Share session dialog: invite a teammate by email, with or without typing, or create a view-only link that expires

SFTP

Move files without another tool

Upload a build, pull a log or fix a config file in the Files panel, right beside the terminal, over the same connection.

  • Upload, download, rename and delete
  • Drop files on the panel to upload them
  • Works through jump hosts too

A project, start to finish

Access that matches the contract

Access comes with an end date, so it closes when the work does, without anyone having to remember.

  1. Week 1

    Kickoff

The client gives your team access to their hosts, until the end of the contract.

  2. Weeks 2 to 6

    The work

You connect with the client’s keys from any computer. Nothing is copied to a laptop.

  3. Week 6

    Review

The client watches the release go live, from a view-only link.

  4. Week 7

    Handover

The recording and the files go to the client’s own team.

  5. The day after

    Access ends

Your access runs out and closes on its own.

The plan that fits

Teams, for a small agency

Teams covers 5 people with live sharing, access grants and guests, and a host group for each client. Need a separate team for every client? That’s Business.

Freelancing on your own? Personal is $5 a month, with the web terminal, sessions that keep running and the Vault.

Compare all plans

Prices are in US dollars and billed monthly. VAT or sales tax is added at checkout where it applies.

For teams

Work on the same servers together.

Questions from agencies

Can a client see my other clients’ servers?

No. Guests and teammates see only what you give them: a host group limited to them, or a grant to a single host.

How do I hand access back at the end?

Grants end on their own on the date you set. You can also remove a guest or a person at any time, and their open sessions end at once.

Can a client watch without an account?

Yes. A share link lets anyone who has it watch the session in a browser, never type. It stops working after the time you choose.

How do I reach servers inside a client’s network?

Through a host the client lets you reach by SSH: save it as a jump host, and GoTerm reaches the servers behind it from there. For a network with no way in, the connector runs inside it and connects out to GoTerm.
