Built like the security tool it is
An SSH client holds the keys to everything you run. GoTerm treats that responsibility accordingly.
AES-256-GCM
Credential encryption
Saved passwords and keys are sealed before they're stored. The key that opens them is kept apart from the database, so a database leak alone doesn't expose them.
Write-only
Secret handling
Once saved, a password or key never comes back out: not to a browser, not to a teammate you share a session with, not to a log. It's decrypted in memory only at the moment GoTerm connects.

Modern key types, SSH agent forwarding, certificates, and hardware-backed keys via FIDO2.
Never on disk
Web sessions
Your browser reaches GoTerm's gateway over TLS, and the gateway holds the SSH connection, which is how a session keeps running after you close the tab. Its output is kept in memory for replay, never written to disk.
