The installer isn’t signed for Windows yet, so the first time, Windows’ SmartScreen warns that it doesn’t know it. Choose More info, then Run anyway. It installs for you alone, with no admin prompt.

The app looks for a new version every few hours and installs it when it closes. It installs only an update GoTerm signed, and checks each one itself before it does.
A PC that won’t take the installer
Smart App Control, or a company’s rules for apps, can refuse an installer that isn’t signed. Use GoTerm in your browser instead: nothing to install, from a trial or a paid workspace.
